Great news! With the pins in-hand, I'm assembling and mailing packages ASAP. Fingers crossed, most of them will arrive before Christmas. I'll update again once the last package is out the door and on its way :)

Complications and setbacks
over 4 years ago – Fri, Oct 25, 2019 at 05:50:50 PM

The pins have arrived and plans were to begin mailing them over the weekend. Unfortunately, shipping is potentially delayed for several weeks. There have been print complications, specifically a misprint on several of the designs which affect a large portion of the pins. This was not identified before they were shipped to me and is completely unsatisfactory. I am working with the manufacturer on a solution and reprint as a matter of urgency.

It's not uncommon for pins to have small scratches and defects that result from polishing and shipping. Depending on the severity, these defects typically flag pins as "Seconds" or "B Grade." They are traditionally sold discounted. Historically, I typically flag anywhere between 5% and 15% as seconds (which I accounted for in my numbers when ordering the pins). This misprint is another issue entirely.

What this means is that pins may be delayed a further month, placing their arrival in the holidays. I will continue to keep you all updated and ask your patience while I work to resolve the issue and get the pins in your hands as soon as possible. Potentially, I may start shipping sooner using the stock I have, favoring international orders as a priority.

I refuse to send a product that doesn't meet my standards or your expectations 100% and that's exactly what we're working towards. I know delays can be frustrating and hope that you will bear with me while I work to resolve these issues.

I greatly appreciate your patience and support. Please reach out to me here or on Twitter if you have any questions or concerns.
