BackerKit surveys are coming!

Soon (in the next few days), you’ll receive an email from us with a special link to your BackerKit survey. It’s important to respond to your survey as quickly as you can since we need this information to fulfill your rewards.

You don’t need to create a BackerKit account to fill out your survey. When you receive the email with the survey, click the survey link to respond. Answer the questions about your reward preferences, provide shipping information, and purchase add-on items if you like. You don’t have access to this survey link yet, but it will be available soon via email!

After you respond to your survey, you can go back later and change your responses at any time before we close the surveys and get our final counts.

If you need to review your information or pledge status, you can return to your survey by clicking the link in your survey email or requesting your survey link under "Lost your survey?" on our BackerKit project page at https://owlbare.backerkit.com.

If you used your Facebook credentials to log in to your Kickstarter account, the BackerKit survey is sent to the email address you use for your Facebook account. If you have another email address that you prefer to use, please contact support at https://owlbare.backerkit.com/faq.

Thank you so very kindly for making Role Pins a reality! A few things need to happen before we can kick off production and fulfillment. 

Here's a quick rundown: 

First, Kickstarter needs to transfer over the funds so we have the money to make the rewards (this can take up to two weeks). 

Second, we have to find out where we need to ship the pins. We’ll send out a BackerKit survey to collect this information in two weeks—on or around Saturday, August 3—once funds have been received. 

We’ll give you a heads-up before we send the survey so that you can watch for it. You don’t need to create a BackerKit account to answer your survey. The invitation email contains a link to your personal survey. It is important to submit your responses as quickly as you can since we need this information to process your rewards. 

If you need to change your survey responses, purchase add-on items, or update your shipping information, you can click the link in your survey email again or request your survey link under "Lost your survey?" on our BackerKit project page. (This page will only start working after we send the surveys out.) 

If you prefer, you can contact me directly and give me your information, but answering your survey helps us get your rewards out to you faster. BackerKit helps us save lots of time by streamlining the survey process, automating data organization, and providing us with pledge management software to make it easy to process your pledge reward shipments.

Prototypes are here!

 Fantastic news! 

I've received prototypes for three of the Role Pins: Wild, Pact, and Clash. 

Honestly, I'm absolutely thrilled with them. Having spoken to several pin manufacturers, I was confident that my designs could be printed the way I envisioned them but that didn't prevent me from being somewhat anxious about receiving the prototypes. It's so good to have them in my hands—these are perfect representations of the product(s) you'll be receiving! 

You might be wondering why I only ordered three prototypes and why those three pins. As much as I would have loved to, it was cost-prohibitive to order prototypes of all 13 pins. Instead, I specifically chose the three most detailed designs. The antlers and bark on Wild; the quill, ink, and patron on Pact; and the weapon-strewn battleground on Clash have very intricate detail and I was concerned some of that might be lost in printing. It's a very large part of why I designed these to be 1.5" 

I think the colours turned out great. I'm going back and forth on this but I have very mild concerns that the contrast between the two purples on Pact may not be great enough, that perhaps the patron gets lost in the background. Let me know what you think in the comments below or over on Twitter. 

I only wish I could have captured better photos and video. My current cell phone simply doesn't do a very good job of picking up the detail and vibrant colours. I'm working on a solution to that and the moment I'm able to, I'll share better quality imagery. Thank you for being patient!

The 13th Pin: Weaver!

Hello, backers! 

To celebrate the success of the Role Pins Kickstarter, I'm thrilled to reveal the new and 13th pin: Weaver. 

Intended for all game-runners—DMs, GMs, etc.—Weaver celebrates your role as guide and weaver of tales. Celebrate your story-telling accomplishments (or those of the wonderful individual running your game) by picking up this new pin! 

Weaver will be available as an unlocked pin to all backers at every pledge tier. A new pledge tier labelled "Special" has been added. The new tier is a discounted $113 for one of each of the 13 pins—the full set.
